🔗 When your card declines at therapy…

This trend is all over TikTok and Instagram right now!

How to use it:

This trend can be a little tricky to understand. When you go to therapy, you talk about all the things that have affected you negatively. The idea behind the trend is that if your card declines, the therapist would undo all the work you did by bringing back the way you felt before therapy. The key to keeping this trend from becoming a trauma dump is keeping it light. The hook should refer to very mild “trauma” – something like “when they text back ‘OK’ but there’s no exclamation mark.”

Hook Ideas:

  • Product-based: When your card declines at therapy so they bring out the [product] that flopped

  • Service-based: When your card declines at therapy so they bring out everything that kept you from [result]

Example:

This knowledge-based example got tons of comments – something we can all use these days!

🔗 Crying Sound

Just a standard soul-cleansing sob 😂

How to use it:

The best way to use this trending sound is to give people a quick picture of what they can expect if they follow you. With a strong hook, viewers can easily decide if your account is for them!

Hook Ideas:

  • Product-based: Me because not all the [specific description of your ideal audience] who want [unique benefit of your product] have found my account yet

  • Service-based: When you said you would [solve problem] next month and now it’s next month

Example:

Love the hook in this silly service-based example!

🔗 It’s been a long fight

Just Drake being Drake

How to use it:

“Drake crying” became a meme a few years ago and now the audio is back and trending again! Use it to dramatically share an obstacle you overcame – like “me when I actually name a file something other than ‘FINAL FINAL V.45’.” It’s a playful way to showcase common struggles your audience can relate to! Plus, there’s even a Capcut template to go along with it.

Hook Ideas:

  • Product-based: When you realize you missed our [sale/special/limited offer]

  • Service-based: POV: You’re 10 minutes into [project] and wishing you’d hired a [your title]

Example:

🔗 Slow Realization

That feeling when something is slowly dawning on you

How to use it:

The idea behind this trend is in the title of the audio: “slow realization.” Hook your audience with a pain point and then point them toward overcoming their struggle with your tips, tools or techniques that help. The general idea is “I tried to [outcome audience is seeking] but couldn't figure it out until [pathway to solution].”

Hook Ideas:

  • Product-based: Your face when you realize the perfect [product type] exists and it’s available [online/in 7 colors/for just $X]

  • Service-based: Here’s why I stopped [approach that doesn’t work]

Example:

This knowledge-based example uses onscreen text to activate curiosity about what happens next.
